Pacers have the worst defense in the NBA out of 30 teams. The coaching staff seems to have given up trying to defend by putting Buddy Hield in the starting lineup. All that offseason and training camp emphasize on defense has resulted in numbers worse than last year’s team, the year before that, and the year Bjorkgren coached the team. It is truly amazing just how badly the franchise has failed to improve their defense despite having better players.

not sure what you are watching. I see a team getting better game by game and guys starting to buy in. I was beginning to think Toppin was a wasted trade and then the light seems to have come on. At both ends. Still has a ways to go to be good, but he's trying. And succeeding some times now.

We have a couple of important guys coming off injury and OH, WE MIGHT WANT TO FEATURE OUR LIKELIEST TRADE BAIT who's putting up brutal numbers for him right now.

Amazing part is how people don't see things happening right in front of their eyes...

What I wrote on Nov 24 was not my opinion. It was an statistical fact. Indiana had the worst defense in the NBA. Today, they have the worst defense in points allowed and are 28th in defensive ranking. They are also 2-2 since Carlisle made the starting lineup change, including an ugly loss at home to a bad Portland team. Their defense since Hield was made a starter has fallen off a cliff. Whatever you think you are seeing, change your glasses or fire your optometrist.
