The Pacers have officially signed Deividas Sirvydis, the team announced today in a press release. Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto previously reported the agreement as a one-year deal. Scotto also added that the 22-year-old Lithuanian is expected to compete for a roster spot in training camp, which suggests his deal is likely either partially or non-guaranteed.

Sirvydis, who has two years of NBA experience, was the No. 37 pick in the 2019 draft, selected by the Dallas Mavericks and subsequently traded on Draft Night to the Detroit Pistons in-exchange for the draft rights to Isaiah Roby and two second-round picks. In Detroit, he only appeared in 23 games, but he did play 21 games for the G League’s Motor City Cruise, averaging 12.5 points point per game on 36 percent shooting from three.

Last month in Las Vegas, the lefty floor spacer played with the Pelicans at Summer League, where he was mainly used as a spot-up option, averaging 15.5 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 41 percent from deep on over seven attempts per game.

Now that his signing is official, the Pacers are set to have 20 players in training camp (barring trades), with second-round pick Kendall Brown still unsigned and Eli Brooks, Tevin Brown, Jermaine Samuels, and Fanbo Zeng signed to Exhibit-10 deals.

Notably, Sirvydis is not listed on Lithuania’s National Team roster for FIBA EuroBasket 2022, which runs from September 1-18, completing just before training camp. Goga Bitadze, meanwhile, whose home country is set to host part of the big event for the first time, has yet to appear in any of the friendly games for Georgia, including the Acropolis Cup hosted this week in Greece, despite being named to the roster.
