Had we gotten D Ayton we may have been stuck in the middle again. Is there a chance we could rebuild now by adding more 2023 draft picks by :
1- trading Myles for draft picks and expiring contracts
2- trading Hield for same.
This could leave us with a wealth of draft picks including in the first round of the fabulous 2023 draft, and a great deal of cap space next summer.
In addition the young players we have would get playing time in 2022-23 and better opportunity to improve and prove themselves.
The trades could be this summer or during the season I guess, but will teams be looking more to use our cap space this summer?
The Spurs seem like they are going this direction as well, they gained 3 picks from the Murray trade and are likely to finish near the bottom next year.
