The Pacers hope Assistant General Manager, Kelly Kruaskopf will be lady luck when she represents the team in Chicago for the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night.
The lottery broadcast revealing the NBA draft order will be at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN after the actual lottery takes place behind closed doors. While the Pacers will most likely move up or down from their current fifth spot in the order, Krauskopf is full of positive vibes that the team will move in a positive direction, as she is quoted on Pacers.com, she has no problem trying to talk a rise in the draft order into existence.
“I’m probably the most optimistic, glass-is-always-half-full type person,” Krauskopf said. “So when (Pacers President of Basketball Operations) Kevin (Pritchard) and (Pacers owner) Herb Simon asked me to represent the team on the stage, it’s because I have this belief that we’re moving up. It’s time. The law of averages are on our side. We’re due. I have a great feeling about it.”
When Krauskoph was the President and GM of the Indiana Fever, she represented the team when they won the expansion draft lottery, so let’s hope that luck continues for the Pacers.
Krauskoph is certainly not wrong — the Pacers are due!
