The Pacers play the back half of a rare Summer League back-to-back on Tuesday evening when they face the Summer Hawks.

The Hawks are highlighted by rookies Jaylen Johnson and Sharife Cooper who both showed up well in the team’s 85-83 loss to the Celtics on Sunday. Cooper fell into the second round in the draft, presumably due to his size and struggles with perimeter shooting. But the quick point guard can make plays and break down a defense which he showed in the opener.

Minutes distribution and player availability are always in flux from game to game in Summer League. It makes sense to continue giving Chris Duarte plenty of playing time, but a guy like Oshae Brissett who played big minutes yesterday and has experience with the Pacers may be used less to give others on the roster some run.

The Pacers executed pretty well in the opener considering the lack of familiarity with the coaching expectations and, well each other. At a minimum, a little more Cassius Stanley would be nice to watch to see if he can make a positive impact and earn more minutes, as Brissett did against the Knicks.
