Happy Wednesday folks! I hope your day is going well and you are surviving and biding the time headed into the draft! We are exactly one day away!!!!
UPDATE: If #Pacers keep #13 I'm being told its coming down to Duarte or Kispert, provided both are on the board— J. Michael (@ThisIsJMichael) July 28, 2021
Analysis: If it's btw both, I'd lean Durate. That's based on not just a workout when they went head up. IND wants shooters who can dribble/create, etc. Not just shoot https://t.co/ctQJoVV3ZY
First and foremost, some news, J Michael of the Indy Star reported today via Twitter that the most likely selections at 13 for the Pacers are Chris Duarte of Oregon, or Corey Kispert out of Gonzaga.
I understand some of the ire from fans with the idea of selecting two players who are seen as having less upside, but I would add that both are very good prospects still who would make sense in the lottery, even if I would not necessarily consider them my first choice for the Pacers.
With that aside, on today’s episode of the pod, I’m joined by Ricky O’Donnell from the SB Nation main site to discuss prospects Sharife Cooper and Josh Giddey; Two players I think would be fantastic swings by the Pacers towards a dynamic playmaker. Giddey will likely not be available and Cooper is being mocked much later in the first round.
