The Pacers will try to put aside the soap opera drama only a Woj bomb can create and maintain their ninth place standing in the East when they host the Kings on Wednesday night.
Reports of Nate Bjorkgren being on the hot seat isn’t a good look for the coach nor any players he is coaching at this point and, after the team’s showing in the nation’s capital on Monday night, they earned that heat.
While the Pacers have made under bettors look foolish despite the continual high over/under numbers assigned to their games, at some point they have to get some meaningful stops at the defensive in through pride alone. A roughed up Kings squad is a good place to start since no one will have to stay in front of De’Aaron Fox or slow down dynamic rookie guard, Tyrese Haliburton. Also, Goga Bitadze will be available which should help protect the rim for a bit.
The injury report for Sacrament should give us a chance to watch local legend Kyle Guy out of Lawrence Central. Just wondering how many of his legendary collection of family and friend will make it into the Fieldhouse.
