Hornets vs. Pacers: Play-in game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers fluctuating playing rotation will continue when they meet the Hornets.

NBA: Charlotte Hornets at Indiana Pacers Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers tip of postseason play for the NBA when they face the Hornets in a do-or-die play-in game on Tuesday night at BLF.

In the midst of prepping to expand their season for at least one more game, the Pacers took yet another hit with the news that Caris LeVert will not play due to COVID protocols. The questionable status of Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon among others may make the hour leading up to tip time more exciting than the game.

Regardless of which players are able to give it a go, the Pacers face a Hornets team that is similar in a lot of ways, dealing with injuries, but also not relying on a superstar to guide them. Both teams have very good NBA players and are at their best when sharing the wealth among their respective playing rotations.

The play-in game has kept the Pacers season alive despite circumstances so horrific they would make Stephen King flinch. But to the team’s credit, they won’t die and we can assume, whoever shows up ready to play for the Pacers, they will throw their best at the Hornets.
