Pacers vs. Cavaliers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The play-in tournament is making must win games all the rage for the Pacers.

The Pacers wrap up their season series with the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Monday night.

With the season winding down, it seems wild to think back to the first preseason game in Cleveland back in December when Nate Bjorkgren’s squad announced their new approach by shooting 44 three-pointers (and making 14), but T.J. McConnell in particular looked like he would not fit well with what the Pacers were trying to do. This is why the phase, ‘it’s only preseason’ was invented.

The Pacers faded in the fourth quarter and loss on a putback by Isaac Okoro. Hmm, maybe some trends can be gleaned from the practice games. Regardless, that seems like years ago instead of months and now the Pacers will try to maintain their spot in the play-in playoffs in what is their latest must win game. With Chicago surging and Pacers remaining schedule looking daunting, let’s hope the fourth quarter fades we’ve suffered through in games doesn’t transfer to the fourth quarter of the season for the Pacers.

While the Pacers lost two preseason games to the Cavs, they have won the two games that count thus far in the regular season.
