The Pacers are suddenly the only game in town and on Tuesday night they host the Chicago Bulls in the first of consecutive home games after the Fieldhouse hosted 43 high school, college and NBA games in 40 days.
Now that the NCAA tournament circus is out of town, the Pacers are trying to find their stride for the stretch run. With the warm weather outside, it feels like NBA Playoffs time and this matchup with the Bulls should have a playoffs feel, even if the Pacers remain shorthanded with Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis questionable.
The Pacers are two games ahead of the Bulls in the standings but the winner of the game tonight will pick up two games on the loser since they will win the season series and have the tie breaker, if needed.
The Bulls are a different team than the one the Pacers played earlier in the season thanks to a bold trade deadline move that added veteran big man Nikola Vucevic. They are still trying to find their rhythm with the new rotation and hopefully don’t start firing on all cylinders against the Pacers tonight.
