The Pacers return home for one last game before the NBA All-Star break when they host the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
Despite the win in Cleveland, via the otherworldly effort by TJ McConnell, the Pacers still have lotsa work to do to raise their level of play after a disappointing 1-3 road trip. The All-Star break will only help but swiping a win from the talented Nuggets would be a nice way to head to the break.
The Nuggs have injury/depth issues to rival the Pacers, although their main players, namely Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, are available to light up unassuming opponents on any given night. Look no further than their last win on Tuesday in Milwaukee when they ambushed the Bucks for a 128-97 win, their third consecutive win on a road trip that ends in Indy.
The human element is always a factor in this last game before the break, but the Pacers have played themselves into a spot where focusing on anything other than the next possession should be criminal.
