The Pacers are back at the Fieldhouse to play the Heat for their final Wednesday home game in March.
After dumping a game on the road in D.C. and looking far less than stellar in the process, the Heat should be able to shake up the Pacers and sharpen their level of play.
Two weekends ago, the Pacers looked plenty sharp while sweeping the Heat in a weekend two-game series in Miami. That recent history will no doubt have Jimmy Butler and friends dialed in to avoid a season sweep.
Miami will have a different look and also be short-handed since revamping the roster at the trade deadline. While their additions were more impressive than the subtractions, the Heat will be without Victor Oladipo (‘member him?) who was traded from Houston but has yet to play. Also, Trevor Ariza is now starting after Kelly Olynyk was dealt in the Vic deal which creates a different dynamic among the starting group.
The Heat arrive off a win over the Knick in New York which stopped a six-game losing streak.
As for the Pacers, they can’t win enough games at this point and may have to juggle their reserve lineup with both Doug McDermott and Jeremy Lamb listed as questionable on the injury list. McDermott went through the team shootaround today and expects to be available. Lamb was in and out, so far more questionable.
