The Pacers are back on the road in Dallas on Friday night, free from trade deadline chatter and now as healthy as they can be with T.J. Warren ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The Mavericks added J.J. Redick on deadline day, however he is not available to play against the Pacers with an injured heel even if he were able to make the move overnight. More important injury news is the doubtful status of Luka Doncic who is dealing with a sore lower back. Obviously, Luka makes the Mavs go so his status is critical to any game plan for the Mavs.
The Pacers have failed to take advantage of such injury news as recently as five days ago when Giannis missed the monster L the Pacers took in Milwaukee. To be fair, Malcolm Brogdon and Myles Turner were not available for that game which was also the third game in four days for the Pacers.
Unless there is a late scratch for the Pacers, no such excuses exist for the Pacers this time around. The Mavs rolled past the Pacers n the fourth quarter for a 124-112 win thanks to a casual triple-double by Luka and Trey Burke going nuts off the bench. Turner nor Caris LeVert were available for that game, so again, the Mavs should see a different Pacers team this time around.
