The Pacers had little time to celebrate their sweep in Miami on Sunday before they were off to Milwaukee to face Bucks on Monday night.
Last night this game seemed like a sure schedule loss, considering the timing of the game, let alone the way the Bucks handled the Pacers earlier in the season. But a glimmer of hope turned up on Monday afternoon when word of Giannis Antetokounmpo would be out with a left knee sprain.
The Bucks are riding a six-game winning streak which is part of a stretch of 11 wins their last 12 games. Giannis has had a big part in those wins, playing at an MVP level which earned him the Eastern Conference Player of the Week nod.
The Bucks have plenty left to throw at the Pacers who always struggle to take advantage of similar situations with opponents missing a top player. But if the legs hold up, the positives gained in Miami should have the Pacers inspired to continue playing at a high level.
