The Pacers look to bounce back after a frustrating loss to Philly in their last outing when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night.

The late collapse had the Pacers reviewing the effort and execution while getting in a rare practice on their off day, Monday. Certainly, handling a zone what a big topic and the execution part in general will be critical against the Grizzlies’ defense.

League testing protocols pushed the tip time to 8 p.m. ET since the Grizz were playing last night in San Antonio. Few teams understand the COVID protocols better than the Grizz after they have had six games postponed including five consecutive games before going to San Antonio to sweep the Spurs. Those wins pushed the Grizz winning streak to seven games which dates back to Jan. 8.

Despite an heavy injury list over that time, Memphis is getting it done with the second most efficient defense in the league, making opponents uncomfortable and then attacking the rim first when they get the ball going the other way. When they do shoot threes, local legend and rookie, Desmond Bane has had a big impact. The former Seton Catholic star out of Richmond who continually improved until he was taken 30th in the NBA draft has made his presence known, earning a spot in the Grizz rotation and leading the league in 3-point percentage at over 50 percent on 3.7 attempts per game.

Other local legends, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Sean McDermott are not available for Memphis. due to injury.
