The Pacers return to the road for the first of two in a row away from the Fieldhouse when they visit the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Wednesday night.
The Pacers continue to play .500 ball while struggling to find a consistent winning rhythm so playing the worst team in the league seems like a good place to start any road trip. Doug McDermott remains questionable which remains a problem considering the depleted wing depth which will likely keep T.J. McConnell in the starting lineup.
Normally, McDermott and McConnell are fueling a productive bench unit for the Pacers, so the fact we’re discussing their availability for the starting lineup explains much of what you need to know regarding the Pacers level of play of late.
The Timberwolves scoff at the Pacers injury issues since they have played much of their season without star Karl-Anthony Towns. KAT is back now, however which helps offset the lack of D’Angelo Russell in the backcourt.
