The Pacers return to action in Detroit on Thursday night with a chance to quickly put their brutal loss to the Nets on Wednesday behind them.
If ever there was a positive case for a back-to-back it is this back-to-back for the Pacers after they suffered a first half knockout in Brooklyn. The loss was the Pacers fourth in a row as they struggle to find something (anything!) positive on the offensive end. Hopefully, the pathetic performance against the Nets’ defense in the first half was rock bottom. The second half bounce back provided at least some hope the Pacers need to rely on more ball and player movement to create quality shots regardless of which players are on the floor.
Considering the Pistons beat the Nets in their last outing, the Pacers obviously can’t expect to roll into Detroit and get better. They have to earn it. For starters, we don’t want to hear, “...and that’s a career high for Mason Plumlee (27 points to answer your next question)” at any point in the game.
