Knicks vs. Pacers: Preview and game thread

The Pacers will have their fourth different starting lineup in the past seven days when they face the Knicks.

The Pacers (2-6) will try to win consecutive games for the first time this season when they host the New York Knicks (5-2) on Wednesday night.

The Knicks have been a feel-good NBA story after fans celebrated an opening night win over the Celtics and the team has followed it up with a solid start. The Pacers on the other hand are just trying to feel good after a rough start facilitated by several injuries popping up from game-to-game.

But with Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert both set to play their first game together, the Pacers should have enough fire power on hand to create a quality matchup against the Knicks.

Rick Carlisle has complained about his team not consistently bringing the effort on the defensive end which they have shown they are capable of delivering recently. Against the Knicks, any let up in effort will be lethal since Tom Thibodeau has his team playing hard. But both teams are rated in the 20s in defensive efficiency, so if the Pacers take care of the ball they should be able to push the pace to their liking.

The circumstances certainly set up for an entertaining game.
