The Pacers play the first of two consecutive games against the Hornets in Charlotte on Wednesday night.
The status of Domas Sabonis is the priority pre-game topic as he remains questionable with a bruised knee which forced an early exit against Toronto on Monday night. While there is no long term structural concern, the acute short-term pain is what would push Sabonis from questionable to out.
As for the Hornets, they are healthy and have shown to be a tough matchup so far this season, but after a four-game winning streak pushed the Hornets to 6-5 on the year they have dropped five of their last six games.
Local legend, Gordon Hayward is off to a strong start in his new home leading the team with over 24 points per game and shooting 43.5% from behind the arc. Combine Hayward with streaky scorers like Terry Rozier and Devonte Grahams, along with streaky impact guys like Miles Bridges and rookie LaMelo Ball off the bench and you can see why Charlotte is a threat to win every night even if they are struggling to find a consistent winning formula.
