The Pacers begin their west coast trip in Sacramento where they will take on the Kings to tip off a gauntlet of roadies this week with five games in seven nights.
The Pacers will be a bit short-handed in Sac with Jeremy Lamb still waiting in the wings to return from injury and T.J. Warren just starting rehab from foot surgery. It will be another T.J. free effort on Monday with T.J. McConnell still out for personal reasons after his wife had a baby over the weekend.
The Kings are 4-6 after a strong 3-1 start which showed they have plenty of talent to battle any team for a win. Rookie Tyrese Halliburton has proven to be a solid complement to De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield in the backcourt. The Kings may be without Richaun Holmes which could have them going small and tempting fate with Domas Sabonis not dealing with opponent size.
Hield is also nursing an ankle and is questionable which could open up some rotation minutes for local legend, Kyle Guy. Regardless, the Pacers need a strong start to a trip when games will be coming at them fast.
