The Pacers catch the Lakers playing out the seeding games with little motivation since they have the top seed in the West locked up.
However, LeBron James sat out the team’s last game against Houston so he is expected to keep his game timing in shape and play against the Pacers. James and Alex Caruso are listed as questionable for the Lakers.
The Pacers have much more motivation for securing a W since they are knotted up with Philly and one game behind Miami in the East standings. Turnovers and rebound issues were a glaring problem in the Pacers last game, a loss to Phoenix. Rebounding should remain a struggle against the long Lakers, but taking care of the ball should give the Pacers a big backcourt advantage regardless of whether LeBron plays or not.
The game will be televised nationally on TNT which has rarely worked out well for the Pacers of late. But anything is possible inside that NBA bubble.
