The Pacers (33-24) will close out another season series on Tuesday when they host the Hornets (19-37) at the Fieldhouse.
After a rough past couple of days, the Pacers will try to bounce back with a much needed win. On Sunday, the Pacers absorbed their worst loss of the season in Toronto and then on Monday had to take in the news that utility fly guy, Jeremy Lamb would miss the remainder of the season and then some with a severe knee injury.
That news shuffles Aaron Holiday back into the mix and likely into a starting spot if Victor Oladipo is unable to return. Vic remains questionable with back spasms which kept him off the court in Toronto.
The Pacers lead the series 2-1 with only a fourth-quarter collapse leading to an OT loss from having a sweep at stake in the final meeting. That failure by the Pacers to close on the road was the only loss surrounded by seven wins that washed away the bitter taste of the Pacers 0-3 start to the season.
Now the Pacers are 2-7 in their last nine, with injuries shaking up the playing rotation not to mention expectations for the rest of the season. The depth of the roster has the Pacers in solid playoff rotation and once again, they will have to adjust and lean on Plan B starting on Tuesday against the Hornets.
