The Pacers open a two-game homestand against the Boston Celtics on Sunday evening at the Fieldhouse.
After overwhelming the Knicks at home and Bulls on the road to begin the season 2-0, the Pacers will get a strong test on a back-to-back against a Celtics team that is missing some firepower, but remains a difficult matchup with versatile forwards, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on the floor. The C’s also have been starting big with both Tristan Thompson and Daniel Theis giving them a very big lineup across the board.
The Pacers turned the game in Chicago in their favor with the bench applying pressure in the second quarter and the Pacers’ depth will have to be the difference again, to counter any matchup problems among the starting lineups.
