This one counts!
The Pacers and Knicks tip off for real on Wednesday night, the first of 72 regular season games for both teams.
The matchup favors the Pacers with a relatively healthy lineup that will not include sixth man, Jeremy Lamb but will have the rest of the expected playing rotation ready to roll. The Knicks have a new coach in Tom Thibodeau so they should be expected to play hard despite the mismatch collection of talent that is still searching for a star or two to emerge after another luckless draft lottery.
The Pacers are favored by 7.5 to 8 points depending on you betting app of choice. On night one under Nate Bjorkgren, beating that spread would be a nice start for the home team with so many questions on the table in search of answers.
