The Pacers (22-12) play their first game in 2020 on Thursday night when they battle Nuggets (23-10) for the first time this season.

The Nuggets are quietly sitting in second place in the West, between two teams, the Lakers and Clippers, who are off to very loud starts to the NBA season.

Nikola Jokic makes the Nuggets go and his size and skill set make him a brutal cover for any big men around the league. The Pacers will be one team with some size to throw at the Nuggs who also roll with a double-big lineup most of the time. Slowing down Jokic is a rough task, but Myles Turner can really help the Paces cause by making shots and forcing the Nuggets to account for him when the Pacers on on offense.

Former HSE star, Gary Harris is listed as questionable after missing the last two games. Another Nuggets player with local ties is Michael Porter Jr. who spent his elementary school days in Fishers. After a few years of injury issues, Porter is still just 21 years old and starting to make an impact on the court.

The Pacers will be without Malcolm Brogdon and Edmond Sumner which will move Aaron Holiday back into the starting lineup.
