The Pacers look to bounce back after getting frosty from the field in the second half of Game 1. The frustrating loss has the Pacers scrambling for answers above and beyond just making more shots.
The Celtics have pushed all of the right buttons against the Pacers of late and appear to have the right matchup at the right time to stifle the blue and gold when needed. Game-to-game adjustments are critical in any playoff series, so the Pacers will need to try something more than trying to execute better.
Adjusting how they employ Myles Turner and Domas Sabonis together or going the other way and throwing more small lineups at the Celtics’ reserve crew would be a start. Hopefully, foul trouble doesn’t limit those options in Game 2 as it did on Sunday when Thad Young and Darren Collison were battling the whistles.
Entering the last three minutes with a chance to win would show some improvement for the Pacers, but turning that opportunity into an actual W would certainly shake up the series and lead to a fun pair of home games at the Fieldhouse this weekend.
