Pacers bring moms along for trip to Milwaukee

Bringing some of the player’s moms along made sure the trip to Milwaukee wasn’t a total loss.

The Pacers didn’t leave Milwaukee happy after losing to the Bucks, but the organization did make the trip special for several players by bringing their moms along for the ride.

Seven of the team moms made the trip to Milwaukee which included traveling on the team flight, team bus, staying at the team hotel and going to a team dinner with their sons. The team also set up a spa treatment for the ladies and a chance to get to know the other moms while also getting some real time with their successful sons.

Myles Turner’s mom Mary put it well:

“During the season they are so busy, we really don’t get a chance to talk with them and have really good conversations with them,” said Mary Turner. “And not only were we able to talk to our own sons, but got to talk to the others players as well too, which was really nice.”

The moms probably came in handy for some moral support after Giannis Antetokounmpo received a technical foul and then freaked out on the whole gym, in particular the Pacers. Regardless of the outcome of the game, the effort to involve the moms was a big win for the organization.
