The Pacers visit the 76ers on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the regular season series between the two teams.
Philly holds a 2-1 edge right now but remain a game behind the Pacers in the Eastern Conference standings. While the Pacers cling to that third spot in the East, they are hoping to get some help with the return of Domas Sabonis who has missed the last five games with a sprained left ankle.
Sabonis practiced with the team on Saturday and does not appear to be 100 percent but sounds willing to give it a go unless he doesn’t feel right at game time, so he remains questionable. Joel Embiid is hoping to also return after missing eight games, trying to ride to the rescue and push the Sixers past the Pacers in the standings. He is also questionable and hasn’t played in awhile, so like Sabonis, his presence will be help but his game rhythm may be off.
The Pacers will try to bounce back from a rough loss in Milwaukee after the Bucks overwhelmed the Pacers in the second half. The Sixers have similar fire power with Embiid back which is why the Pacers are six-point underdogs.
Tyreke Evans also showed up on the injury report as questionable with another illness. He has appeared lost on the court without Sabonis and it would be nice if the two could play together (is Sabonis is ready) to throw their pick n’ roll game at the Sixers’ reserve unit.
Regardless of which players show up ready to play, this is a big one for the Pacers as they try to break their string of horrible performances on national television.
