The Pacers return to action at the Fieldhouse on Thursday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Pacers will try to win their fourth consecutive game with four home games remaining before the All-Star break. The Pacers recent wins have coincided with Tyreke Evans returning to the rotation and the continued improvement of Aaron Holiday and Edmond Sumner adjusting to a larger role due to injuries to Victor Oladipo and Doug McDermott.
The Pacers also took advantage of issues facing the Pelicans and Lakers, but as mentioned above, did so while dealing with their own issues. Now they catch the Clippers adjusting to life without Tobias Harris and his 20 points per game. Plus, a late deal before the deadline sent Avery Bradley to Memphis for two players which then prompted the Clips to waive Marcin Gortat.
While that should be an advantage, the Pacers should be wary of players stepping up for the Clippers to seize an opportunity, you know, if they have enough players remaining. Also, the Pacers have to maintain the sharp edge they showed on Tuesday which is never easy since these extremely talented NBA players remain human and capable of exhaling.
