The Pacers return home after a three-game roadie to host the Minnesota Timberwolves for their annual visit to Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Wolves won the first matchup in Minny, 101-91 in the fourth game of the season way back in late October. Victor Oladipo and Jimmy Butler each had 20 points, but the Minnesota reserves made the difference. Neither VO nor Butler will be on the court tonight since there are seemingly many lifespans within the NBA regular season.
The Wolves remain in touch for a playoff spot in the West, although currently sitting in 11th place in the West, four games out of the 8th spot. Meanwhile, the Pacers are trying to stop a losing streak from gaining momentum after getting burnt from beyond the arc in their last two games, losses at Detroit and Dallas.
For the Pacers, Tyreke Evans remains questionable after missing the game against the Mavs and Domas Sabonis is out while tending to a sprained ankle. The Pacers are in some desperate need of home cooking to get a win and keep pace in the East with a rough stretch of the schedule looming throughout the bulk of March.
The best injury news for the Pacers is that Slick Leonard is expected to return to his role in the rotation next to Mark Boyle on the radio call tonight! Welcome back, Slick!!!
