The Pacers wrap up their season series with the Washington Wizards on Saturday night in D.C., as they try to avenge the 107-89 loss handed them on their last trip to the DMV.
That loss was on par with the worst performances of the year by the Pacers and also helped revealed that a couple of young players were not ready for heavy minutes over the long haul.
This time around Tyreke Evans is healthy and newly acquired Wesley Matthews helps fortify the starting lineup in Victor Oladipo’s absence. Both were huge on Friday night in the Pacers comeback win over New Orleans. Now on a back-to-back, we’ll see what the vets have left in the tank.
Myles Turner did not play on Friday and it is hard to imagine a post-game flight and quick turnaround will change his status for the game.
The Wiz are also playing on a back-to-back, taking a 123-110 L in Charlotte last night. Bradley Beal scored 46 points in the loss and remains the focus of anything the Wiz do well.
