The Pacers (21-10) are on the road Friday night to take on the Heat (22-8) in the first of four matchups against their old Eastern Conference nemesis.
Miami is once again, riding near the top of the East after a surprisingly strong start that has unleashed a few quality young players around veteran star Jimmy Butler. Bam Adebayo in particular has developed into a major problem around the rim while guards Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson are playing at a high level.
Playing in Miami has always been a struggle for the Pacers and after a couple of years sans LeBron, it looks like a talented Heat roster to go along with the vicious off-court distractions on South Beach are once again teaming up to attack the NBA. The Heat are currently 13-1 at home which is the best home record in the league.
The Pacers should be rested and ready to go after a few days off at home. However, Malcolm Brogdon is listed as questionable with a hamstring. If he is unable to go, Aaron Holiday will likely continue his roll as utility backcourt starter alongside Jeremy Lamb.
