The Pacers (17-9) return to action on Sunday evening when they host the Hornets (12-6) at the Fieldhouse.
The Pacers look to win their third consecutive game while also trying to avenge a frustrating OT loss in Charlotte that also served as a springboard for Devonte’ Graham’s breakout season in progress. Graham hit the Pacers for 35 as the Hornets rallied to punish the Pacers in the fourth quarter before securing the win in OT.
Yes, the Pacers were missing Myles Turner and Domas Sabonis in the first meeting, but the loss remains a painful stain on the record because of the finish.
Riding a three-game winning streak, the Hornets are a half game outside a playoff spot in the East which combined with the head-to-head result earlier in the season, should have the Pacers full attention. Charlotte is down a couple of players with Marvin Williams and rookie P.J. Washington out.
The Pacers remain healthy and continue trying to take care of business as they have in the past two games with a balanced attack that includes sturdy support from the reserve rotation. With LeBron and the Lakers coming to town next, this is no time to look ahead and not focus on the task at hand.
