The Pacers (16-9) are out of town for their fifth one-game road trip of the season to face the Hawks (6-19) in Atlanta on Friday night.
Coming off an impressive home win over Boston on Wednesday, the Pacers have no room to exhale against the Hawks. All they have to do is look to their last meeting two weeks ago when Trae Young hit ‘em for 49 points and forced the Pacers to rally from a big deficit before winning in OT.
The comeback win was a testament to Pacers’ depth as they leaned on a balanced attack to grind their way back into the game. Hopefully, the Pacers get off to a better start and take care of business this time around against one of the worst defensive teams in the league (29th in defensive eff.). Starting strong and avoiding any adverse impact from the legendary off-court distractions in Atlanta should do the trick.
