The Pacers wrap up their first back-to-back of the season when they host the Wizards on Wednesday night.
After letting a big lead slip away, leading to a frustrating overtime loss, the Pacers not only took the L but expended a lot of energy in the process before traveling home and shifting their focus to the Wiz. No easy task for a team whose inexperienced depth reared its head at several key points throughout the loss in Charlotte.
Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis are close to returning and getting at least one of them back in the mix would be a big help at both ends of the floor. However, they remain questionable to play and now Jeremy Lamb (ankle) is doubtful. Oy.
Defensively, the Pacers will have their hands full with the Wizards who have three players in Isaiah Thomas, Bradley Beal and rookie Rui Hachimura who can get buckets in bunches. Former IU big man, Thomas Bryant has carved out a nice role in the starting lineup for Washington, as well. Bryant is an active big man and cleans up things nicely for the Wiz around the rim, averaging 12.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
