Hawks vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers try to win their fifth consecutive game on Friday night.

The Pacers wrap up a festive day in downtown Indy when they host the Hawks with a special 8 p.m. ET tip.

The delayed start accommodates fans enjoying the tree lighting on the Circle. Hopefully the Pacers will keep lighting up the Fieldhouse as they try to complete their current four-game homestand without a loss. Counting the win in Brooklyn prior to starting the home stretch, the Pacers are riding a four game winning streak with the young and hobbled Hawks coming to town.

Sounds like a perfect time for a Pacers let down against a team in the Hawks, riding an eight game losing streak, that is desperate to win. Fortunately, nothing about this Pacers team indicates they will succumb to the human nature exhale.

To avoid the bad loss, the Pacers will have to keep Trae Young from getting loose and then turning lethal. The second-year guard is averaging over 26 points and 8.6 assists per game. Atlanta has no shortage or raw talent, but plenty of inexperience, with no starters older than 24 and three players 21 or younger.
