The Pacers open preseason play on Friday morning Indy time when they face the Sacramento Kings in Mumbai, India. If ever there was a practice game, this is it considering the time lost for travel just a few days into training camp.

The Pacers will have four new starters, three of whom were not with the team last season. All eyes will be on Domas Sabonis working alongside Myles Turner, but equally intriguing should be how new point guard, Malcolm Brogdon (a natural combo guard) handles the point against an absolute handful for the Kings in De’Aaron Fox.

The Pacers won’t debut rookie Goga Bitadze thanks to a balk ankle who is one of several players fighting for a spot in the Pacers playing rotation.

As for the Kings, they have added some veteran talent to go with some dynamic young players (see Fox) and also have plenty of Indiana connections. Cory Joseph signed a nice deal (about $12 mil per) over the summer and at least during preseason has some local legends as teammates with Yogi Ferrell (IU/Park Tudor), Caleb Swanigan (Purdue/Homestead) and Kyle Guy (Lawrence Central) vying for a spot,
