The Pacers begin their 43rd NBA season on Wednesday night when they host the Detroit Pistons at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
With so many new faces on the roster, and their best player still rehabbing a knee injury, there are many questions facing the Pacers as they try to keep pace in the Eastern Conference. The overall younger core of players has plenty of promise, but only if all of the parts work well together.
As for the opener, Blake Griffin (hammy) is out, so Andre Drummond will be the main problem for the Pacers. Last season, the Pacers were 3-1 against a similar Pistons team, but Drummond averaged 21 points and 16 rebounds. Markieff Morris is slated to start for Griffin.
