The Pacers visit the Celtics in the second of four games this season between the Eastern Conference foes.
Both teams are vying for valuable real estate near the top of the East with the Pacers currently in third place, 2.5 games behind Toronto for the top spot while the Celtics are in fifth place, another 2.5 games behind the Pacers.
In the first meeting, the Celtics appeared to be closing out the Pacers at the Fieldhouse when a shootout between Kyrie Irving and Victor Oladipo broke out in the final minute. After a few haymakers from both, Kyrie missed a dagger layup under duress from Corey Joseph. Oladipo took the carom the other way, rose up and drilled a game-winning three, giving the Pacers a 102-101 win.
That was fun. It was also ten games into the season in early November. Much has changed, including playing rotations on both sides with the C’s going to a Marcus heavy starting lineup that has Gordon Hayward starting to find his game off the bench. As for the Pacers, they expect to be without Myles Turner for the third consecutive game.
