Myles Turner will be back in Indy on Thursday, joining Colts legend, Robert Mathis to host the 10th Annual Caroline Symmes Celebrity Softball Challenge. The fundraiser benefits the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
The event will bring Turner back in town from Texas where he has been working out so far during the offseason. If you follow Turner’s Instagram stories you know he’s been putting in plenty of sweat equity as he prepares his body for a critical fourth season with the Pacers. Turner is shown doing yoga, weights, boxing and a variety of cardio drills in the gym and on the track. Looking forward to the jump hook vids coming later this summer (right?).
Turner takes over the hosting duties from Paul George who made the summer news cycles hum at last year’s event when he appeared to pledge his allegiance to Indy before news broke soon thereafter that instead he wanted out.
Of course, PG took over as the Softball headliner from Roy Hibbert who previously teamed up with Mathis to host the fundraiser. Hopefully, the trend of Mathis breaking in a new Pacers host every couple of years after the prior host leaves town doesn’t continue with Turner.
Regardless, should be a fun and entertaining evening at Victory Field. Other Pacers joining Turner on the field (always subject to change) include: Lance Stephenson, Ike Anigbogu, T.J. Leaf, Alex Poythress, Ben Moore
Plenty of other Pacers personalities will be involved including Coach Nate McMillan.
