Happy NBA Draft Day!
As we await the draft to begin at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, please share your thoughts and observations on what the Pacers may do along with reactions to any news around the league that is sure to break throughout the day.
HoopsHype has a nice aggregate NBA mock draft which generates a mock based on the average of mock drafts for NBAdraft.net, ESPN, The Ringer, SI.com, CBS Sports and The Athletic.
After running their formula, HoopsHype has French point guard, Elie Okobo slotted at No. 23. None of the actual mocks have Okobo going to the Pacers and his pick range is from 19 to 31.
Here are the actual No. 23 picks from the six mocks:
NBAdraft.net - Mitchell Robinson, 6’11 C (left Western Kentucky before season)
ESPN - De’Anthony Melton, 6’3 combo G, USC
The Ringer - Jerome Robinson, 6’5 SG, Boston College
SI.com - Aaron Holiday, 6’1 PG, UCLA
CBS Sports - Troy Brown, 6’7 SG, Oregon
The Athletic - Jacob Evans, 6’5 SF, Cincinnati
Pretty diverse range of prospects there which reveals how the Pacers should have options at all positions when their pick arrives at No. 23. Where do you think their focus should be?
