USA Basketball announced their 35-man roster for the 2018-2020 Men’s National Team on Friday and among the NBA players on the list are Pacers guard, Victor Oladipo and center, Myles Turner.
Both have been involved with USA Basketball in the past, but it is nice for the players and Pacers to get this recognition. While national NBA writers continually expose themselves as box score/highlight (at best!) observers of the Pacers when trying to explain the team’s surprising season, it is nice to see actual basketball people notice the Pacers current and future foundation.

From the 35-player pool, the 12-player roster for the 2019 USA World Cup and 2020 U.S. Olympic teams will be selected. Oladipo is certainly trending toward a spot on at least one of those rosters. While that is not the case for Turner, the just-turned-22-year-old will certainly benefit from the experience and exposure to competing in the USA Basketball program.
