The Pacers and Cavaliers move their first-round series to Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday night for Game 3 with the series tied 1-1.
The Cavs adjusted their lineup for Game 2 along with enjoying a monster effort from LeBron James to even up the series. Kyle Korver and J.R. Smith, two long-time, long-bombing nemeses of the Pacers regardless of the opposing uniform they wore, brought their veteran playoff experience to bear which helped open things up for LeBron to go to work.
This is no surprise for the Pacers but the home team will need to adjust and find different spots to attack. The move by the Cavs also makes their reserve unit rely on far less playoff experience, so the Pacers’ reserve unit also needs to step up their game to take advantage in front of the raucous home crowd.
On the injury front, Kevin Love (thumb) is expected to play with a partially torn ligament in his left (non-shooting) hand. Playing with a bum thumb on either hand won’t be fun, so while Love’s shooting may not be impacted by the injury, getting the ball in position to shoot may be a challenge.
HUGE Game 3!!!!! Pacers have to take what they want!
