Hornets vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers finish the regular season at home with an eye on post-season play.

NBA: Indiana Pacers at Charlotte Hornets Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers close out the regular season at home when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday evening.

The Pacers are officially locked into the five seed in the East, so with nothing to play for the Pacers are focused on prepping for the playoffs and a likely matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s what the injury report shows with Victor Oladipo, Thad Young and Bojan Bogdanovic all sitting out.

Giving the bench rotation more minutes, especially Glenn Robinson III who is rounding into prime-time form, certainly makes sense. Also, keeping Myles Turner in the mix is key after his foul trouble and a career night from Domas Sabonis, turner Sunday’s win over Charlotte into a rest night for Turner. With Lance Stephenson, Glenn Robinson III and Domas Sabonis in the starting lineup, we know those on the court will be competing to win, so fan appreciation night should remain a great show both during the game, as well as after.

And appreciating this team and their regular-season effort should be the focus of all fans at the Fieldhouse tonight. The season they delivered was both surprising and wildly entertaining. Even if a first-round matchup against LeBron James and the Cavs seems daunting, we know this crew will take their best swing at LeBron and the boys and continue trying to quiet the doubters. So, yeah, take a moment to appreciate all that is this current Pacers team.
