The Pacers did not have their game-day, morning shootaround on Monday as they prepare to play the Washington Wizards at the Fieldhouse. But the team did release an injury update which was a bit alarming.
Injury report for tonight vs. Washington— Indiana Pacers (@Pacers) February 5, 2018
Darren Collison: Questionable (bruised left knee)
Victor Oladipo: Questionable (illness)
Glenn Robinson III: Questionable (left ankle rehab)
Myles Turner: Questionable (sore right knee)
As all NBA teams a grinding through the dog days of the NBA schedule tying to get to the All-Star break, staying healthy is always a struggle. The “good news” with having three starters on the injury report is that all three are listed as questionable and no one can question the resolve of any of those players not to try to play, if possible. So, the fact none were listed as out yet, indicates they will give it a go up until game time and/or when the training staff says, “Nah.”
Glenn Robinson is also listed as questionable, but the Pacers also announced he will head back to Fort Wayne for another rehab assignment with the Mad Ant who play their next game on Wednesday against the Greensboro Swarm. Robinson may just be working out for two days, but if he travels to North Carolina for the game he will see Damien Willkins who is keeping sharp in the G-League while waiting for another NBA call...perhaps from the Pacers.
As for the Wizards, they will be without John Wall who recently had surgery on his left knee.
