The Pacers will find some minutes for Glenn Robinson III for the first time this season.

The Pacers latest injury report is down to one player.

Darren Collison (knee) remains out as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery a few weeks ago. There was some hope he would be ready to return after the All-Star break, but it now appears Collison will be out at least another week. The Pacers signed Trey McKinney-Jones to a 10-day contract earlier this week to fill the backcourt depth chart which was a good indication Collison wasn’t ready to return.

The good news, though is that Glenn Robinson III is not on the injury report for the first time this season and is expected to play on Friday against the Hawks. After an ankle injury early in training camp forced Robinson to have surgery, his much anticipated “contract year” was put on hold for a few months of recovery and rehab.

With 24 games remaining, Robinson can give the Pacers a boost off the bench for the final stretch of the regular season as the Pacers continue battling for playoff position in the East.

After prepping for his return at practice on Thursday, GRIII joined fellow reserve impact players, Lance Stephenson and Domantas Sabonis at the Indianapolis airport to take part in a Southwest Airlines promotional event.

None of the trio disappointed as Robinson took his turn prepping passengers for their alight and Lance made ‘em dance on the tarmac as he guided home an arriving flight to the gate. Enjoy.
