After winning their third game in a row on Wednesday, the Pacers had some more good news to offer on Thursday. Glenn Robinson III will be in Fort Wayne for his first game action of the year when he plays with the G-League Mad Ants in a matinée at 11 am ET game against the Wisconsin Herd.

This is a huge step in Robinson’s rehab from left ankle surgery which has kept the Pacers swingman sidelined since training camp. The early tip is due to a “School Day Out” game which will have Allen County War Memorial Coliseum sold out and rocking with kids.

Robinson has practiced with the Pacers this week and the G-League rehab action is likely the last hurdle before joining the Pacers, once again. The Mad Ants also play at home on Saturday night, when the Pacers play Philly at the Fieldhouse.

It will take some time to get GRIII’s game legs under him, so a couple of G-League runs may be a smart way to do it. Even better, if things go well on Thursday, he may be in uniform against the Sixers on Saturday.

Ike Anigbogu, Edmond Sumner and Ben Moore will also join Robinson in Fort Wayne for the game on Thursday. It appears this is one game that is no going to stream live on Facebook, instead being broadcast on Eleven Sports.
