The Pacers host the Pistons on Friday night for the first of four meetings this season between the Central Division rivals.
With Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, the Pistons have one of the more stout front courts in the league. But after a strong start, the Pistons have won just three of their last 12 games in their streaky season which includes winning streaks of four and five games along with losing streaks of five and six games. Now with a .500 record, the Pistons remain in playoff position in the East, currently sixth place in the conference.
Since the Pacers are currently third in the East, this game could indeed be a playoff preview. The Pacers have avoided any nasty losing streaks and have won 10 of their last 12 games. The productive return of Tyreke Evans in Atlanta, adds hope that the Pacers depth will continue to keep them winning consistently.
Pacers fan fave, Glenn Robinson III is now with the Pistons but is not expected to play due to an ankle injury.
The Pacers will wear their “Earned” jerseys, a white version of the latest “city” jerseys, for the first time.
