Pacers podcast: The return of Victor Oladipo and impressive wins make the Pacers a legit playoff contender

A lot has happened over the past week!

NBA: Indiana Pacers at Minnesota Timberwolves Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

The Locked on Pacers podcast is hosted by Indycornrows staff writer Adam Friedman in collaboration with West Indianapolis Community News Pacers columnist Tony East.

There were a lot of questions going into one of the toughest weeks of Indiana’s season before it even started:

  • When would Victor Oladipo return from his right knee injury?
  • How were the Pacers 7-4 without him?
  • Who were the players contributing to the Pacers’ surprise run?
  • Would the Pacers need Oladipo to beat the 76ers and Bucks?

Adam and Tony attempted to answer those and more on Monday’s podcast. To listen click below or here.

On Tuesday Tony featured Derek from iPacersblog to discuss the Pacers’ 109-101 win over the Wizards.

  • Tony makes the case that Monday’s Wizards game was one of the best games of Myles Turner’s career (he finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks on 11-16 shooting)
  • Why the Pacers are still lucky to keep winning without Oladipo

On Thursday Tony is back to recap Victor Oladipo’s return in Indiana’s 113-97 over Milwaukee.

  • Why Thaddeus Young dominated on both ends of the floor
  • Why Turner and Oladipo flipped roles for the game (Turner took 22 shots, Oladipo took 11)
  • Why Giannis Antetokounmpo struggles against the Pacers in Indiana

On Saturday Adam took over the podcast to discuss the Pacers’ impressive win over the 76ers.
