The Pacers look to expand their current three-game winning streak on Monday when they host the Washington Wizards for the first of four games this season.
The Wizards arrive at the Fieldhouse after losing to Cleveland on Saturday night, snapping their own three-game winning streak and also revealing a worsening left heel issue for point guard John Wall.
Wall complained of painful bone spurs in his heel limiting his movement which will keep him out tonight against the Ptacers. Without Wall, Bradley Beal will have the Pacers full attention as the primary threat to go off. Beal is averaging almost 23 points per game and 28 ppg over his last four games.
The Pacers will remain without Victor Oladipo so they will have to continue leaning on their defense and then finding a couple of players to get cooking on O to fill the void.
With Dwight Howard out for the Wiz, former IU big man Thomas Bryant has been starting although playing a reserve-level amount of minutes with Markief Morris playing heavier minutes off the bench. This may change a bit tonight with Wall out forcing and adjustment to the Wiz’s playing rotation.
